Outdoor Ceremony Locations

That "Colorado" feeling is easy to find at Sylvan Dale, with red cliffs to the east and the Rockies to the west. Choose from two outdoor ceremony sites. Contact us today if you looking for that perfect indoor/outdoor venue. We would love to discuss what you're looking for in a wedding venue.

The “River Bend” ceremony site is a sweet spot to say “I do” as the river provides the perfect ambient sound. This natural ceremony site is on the banks of the Big Thompson River. With the river to the east and the mountains to the west. This site is the closest to the reception space and cabins (top 3 pictures).

The “Heart Song” ceremony site is a natural ceremony site on a grassy knoll skirted with aspen and spruce. It is surrounded by sweeping mountain views and pastures in the background. Guests do have to walk to this site but it is all worth it for that famous view of the Colorado Rockies that many couples look for (bottom 3 pictures).

Are you concerned about inclement weather? Colorado is known for passing rain and snow showers. Wait five minutes, and the sun will come out! If not, no worries! The Heritage Lodge offers an inspiring alternative for a last-minute change in plans or that cozy winter wedding.

UPDATES ON HEART SONG

The Alexander Mountain Fire heavily impacted Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch’s backcountry. The main property is as beautiful as ever. However, we still wanted to share some updates on that upper ceremony site so you can make an informed decision about your ceremony site location. The photos and videos below were recorded on Kate’s cell phone on August 16, 2024. Planning to update again in spring of 2025 when we see how the regrowth is coming along.
